I was an excellent math student growing up. I joined the military and went to combat and was fortunate enough to come home alive but not with all of my body the same as it was before I left. I received a traumatic brain injury. This situation made me have a harder time putting things together. I started seeing Mr. Robert and his knowledge of my issues and the capabilities in mathematics made it clearer for me to understand what I was doing. I excelled in math once again because I had to just be refreshed and had to learn different tricks to get my grades up and move forward on my degree. I ended up with a “A” and also a “B” in my other class that he helped me with. I am now going to have him tutor my girls since they were not blessed with math skills.
